b. Use of Cookies

Doc B's may use cookies to personalize or enhance your user experience. A cookie is a small text file that a website’s server places on a computer’s web browser. The cookie transmits information back to the website’s server about the browsing activities of the computer user on the website. This includes information such as pages and content viewed, the time and duration of visits, search queries entered into search engines, and whether a computer user clicked on an advertisement. Cookies also can be used to maintain data related to a particular individual, including passwords or items in an online shopping cart. In some contexts, such as where a number of separate websites participate in a network, cookies can be used to track a computer user across different websites. Cookies do not alter your hard drive in any way and cannot be used to access any personal information from your computer.

You have the ability to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies. If you reject cookies by changing your browser settings then be aware that this may disable some of the functionality of the Site.

c. Personal Information from Users

We collect personally identifiable information. “Personally identifiable information” is information that tells us who you are, such as your name, address, e-mail address, phone number, and any other identifier that permits the physical or online contacting of a specific individual, and information concerning a user that the Site collects online from the user and maintains in personally identifiable form in combination with one of the other identifiers listed above. We may collect personally identifiable information when you place an order, register with the Site or if you voluntarily choose to provide it to us.

We use personally identifiable information for the purpose for which it is provided: to respond to emails, to provide customer support to send newsletters when opted in.

We may disclose personally identifiable information to affiliated companies, our parent company, subsidiaries and sister companies. We also may disclose it to our suppliers who will deliver your order and/or provide billing services; and to third parties who provide services to us and who agree to maintain the confidentiality of such information in accordance with this Policy. These third parties may provide a variety of services to us including, without limitation, hosting the Site, providing technical support, processing and storing user information, updating your customer information records in our database and sending or coordinating the sending of marketing communications on our behalf.

We may disclose personally identifiable information in special cases when we have reason to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact, or bring legal action against someone who may have breached our Terms and Conditions of Use or who may be causing injury to or interference with (either intentionally or unintentionally) our rights or property, other users of the Site, or anyone else who could be harmed by such activities. We may also disclose personally identifiable information when we reasonably believe that the law requires it.

In connection with a merger, acquisition, sale or liquidation of the company or other transaction, personally identifiable information is typically one of the transferred business assets, but remains subject to the commitment made in any pre-existing Policy.

Privacy of Children

The Site is a general audience website. We do not intentionally collect personally identifiable information from users of the Site who are under the age of thirteen.

If we become aware that a user of the Site is under the age of 13 and has placed an order using the Site, we will remove that child’s personal information from our files.

Security

We use reasonable efforts to protect your personal information from unauthorized use or disclosure. Unfortunately, information transmitted on the Internet and/or stored on systems attached to the Internet is not 100% secure. As a result, we do not ensure, warrant or guarantee the security or integrity of such information. We will not be responsible for disclosure of any information due to errors in transmission or the unauthorized acts of third parties.

Links to Other Websites

While you are using the Site, you may be linked or directed to other third party websites outside of the Site that are beyond our control. Each of these third party websites may have a privacy policy different from ours. For example, you might click on a link or banner ad that will take you off the Site. These links and banners may take you to websites of advertisers, sponsors and co-branding partners. We recommend and encourage that you always review the privacy policies of merchants and other third parties before you provide any personal information or complete any transaction with such parties. We are not responsible for any actions or policies of such third parties.
